Youth Rocketry & Astronomy Summer Camp

Morgan County Observatory Foundation is proud to announce the dates for our annual Astronomy/Rocketry kids summer camp this year will be held the weeks of August 1-5 and 8-12 from 9AM to 12:30PM. Camp is geared towards kids from 8-15 years old and includes building and launching model rockets, telescope building, solar viewing, fun hands on activities, movies, games and much more. Each day consists of morning & afternoon rocket launches, midday snack & movie break, along with other astronomy related activities. Kids learn how rockets work by building, launching, recovering and repairing their own model rockets throughout the week. Family nights at the observatory for stargazing and using the telescopes and other materials children make will also be available. Scholarships are available, simply request on applications. Parents are encouraged to call, email or see our website for more information and sign up soon as space is limited.
