Seen by millions across the globe, this worldwide smash hit tells the classic story of Baby and Johnny, two fiercely independent young spirits from different worlds who come together in what will be the most challenging and triumphant summer of their lives. Featuring the hit songs, “Hungry Eyes,” “Hey Baby,” “Do You Love Me?” and the heart-stopping “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.” London’s Sunday Express says, “This crowd-pleasing stage adaptation hits the jackpot!” Don’t miss your chance to see this record-breaking live theatre sensation. You’ll have the time of your life!

Mountain Stage: Lee Ann Womack, Inara George

Lee Ann Womack is an American country music singer and songwriter. Her 2000 single, "I Hope You Dance" was a major crossover music hit, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Country Chart and the Top 15 of the Billboard Hot 100, becoming her signature song. When Womack emerged as a contemporary country artist in 1997, her material resembled that of Dolly Parton and Tammy Wynette,[3] except for the way Womack's music mixed an old fashioned style with contemporary elements. Inara Maryland George is an American singer-songwriter and musician, one half of The Bird and the Bee, a member of the band Merrick, with Bryony Atkinson, and a member of the trio The Living Sisters, with Eleni Mandell and Becky Stark.

Mountain Stage: Tal National, Calan

Tal National: On stage, Tal National perform with six musicians, but because of their rigorous performance schedule might include up to thirteen members at any one time. At shows, musicians regularly change places midway through songs (including the amazing sight of drummers swapping without missing a beat). On some nights the band might divide to play two gigs simultaneously. Calan: Calan bring together the remarkable talents of 5 young musicians giving a fresh and vibrant sound to traditional Welsh music. With a contemporary and lively approach they breathe new life into the old traditions through their sparkling melodies, foot tapping tunes and spirited and energetic performances of Welsh step dancing.

Jersey Boys

JERSEY BOYS is the behind-the-music story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. They were just four guys from Jersey, until they sang their very first note. They had a sound nobody had ever heard… and the radio just couldn’t get enough of. But while their harmonies were perfect on stage, off stage it was a very different story – a story that has made them an international sensation all over again. The show features all their hits including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Oh What A Night,” “Walk Like A Man,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” and “Working My Way Back To You.” This show includes explicit language.

Richwood’s Feast of the Ramson Festival

The “granddaddy of all Appalachian ramp feeds,” Richwood’s “Feast of the Ramson,” will be held Saturday, April 21. The 2018 version is the 80th anniversary of the very first public ramp feed held in this, the “ramp capital of the world.” In addition to a traditional menu of ham, bacon, potatoes, brown beans, and cornbread, the pleasing aroma of sassafras tea will challenge the somewhat pungent, distinctive odor of the delicious piece de resistance of this meal. Ramps, a wild mountain herb known for “smelling bad,” grows abundantly in the woody areas surrounding Richwood. The odor remains on the breath of the partaker for many hours after indulging. To ramp lovers, this smell is equal to the finest perfume. In addition to the meal which will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cherry River Elementary School, a huge Arts and Crafts Show will begin at 10 a.m. and run through 4:00 p.m. in the heart of Richwood at the Richwood Fire Station, City Hall and Richwood Public Library. Special free entertainment will be performed in both locations throughout the day. Tickets for the express service line may be purchased in advance prior to April 20 through the Richwood Area Chamber of Commerce, 38 Edgewood Avenue, Richwood, WV 26261. Include appropriate payment and a self-addressed stamped envelope. Cost is $13.00 for adults and $6.00 for children. At the door cost is $15.00 and $7.00. For more information, visit www.richwoodchamberofcommerce.org, or phone 304-846-6790.

Come to downtown Buckhannon to walk through one of the oldest structures in the area, that features a museum exhibit Sunday afternoons from 1 - 4 PM. The Museum's building is one of the oldest historic landmarks in Upshur County. During the Civil War, the structure was commandeered for use by the Federal government (as were most churches in this area) as a food commissary. Betty Hornbeck, in her book Upshur Brothers of the Blue and Gray, writes that on August 30, 1862, following a battle of "Watertank Hill" in a Confederate victory known as "Jenkins Raid", twenty to thirty captured Federal prisoners were marched first to the courthouse and.... "after the arms had been destroyed, the prisoners were taken to the Southern Methodist Church on West Main Street that was being used as a commissary. The church contained thousands of bushels of oats and corn, all of which were taken into the street and burned by the prisoners under order of Commander Jenkins. Green coffee beans were shoe deep in the street." The oil painting inside the Museum, over the front entrance depicts the looting and pillaging of the frightening night so long ago. The History Center Museum is an historic structure, built in 1856 and is the oldest extant building on Main Street, Buckhannon. It was listed on National Register of Historic Places in 1992.
