The PBR IS NOT a rodeo - it's two hours of intense bull riding action! During one night of heart-pounding, bone-crushing action, fans can look forward to seeing a star-studded line-up of athletes. The BlueDEF Tour showcases the world’s top cowboys as they battle the rankest bucking bulls. It’s man vs. beast wrapped in the glitz and glamour that only the PBR can provide. Viewers from around the world will watch the action from Reno unfold on all new PBR Live! streaming service. Its action, danger & thrills in an all new bull riding spectacular. FAST FACTS: 70 tons of dirt is brought in each weekend for a PBR event. Over 50 bucking bulls are brought to the event. It takes 7 semi trucks to load in all the supplies for the event. It takes a crew of 30 guys set up for 36 hours for the show to take place. An average PBR bucking bull weighs 1700-2000 lbs. An average bull rider weighs 140 lbs.

The Wheeling Jamboree 84th Anniversary
The Wheeling Jamboree has been presented at over 20 different Venues in the greater Wheeling area since it’s inception back in 1933 and the landmark Capitol Theatre is its most widely recognized. On April 15th a Jamboree show is timed to Celebrate the 84th Anniversary of its “first run” at the Capitol along with the shows “Patriarch”, Country Music Veteran Darnell Miller who Celebrates 50 years as a member of the Jamboree this year. A variety of Jamboree Artist Members are appearing on this special event. Performers will include members of the Wheeling Park High School Bluegrass Band along with other special entertainers. The show will be broadcast live on the new radio home of the Wheeling Jamboree WWOV 101.1 FM in Wheeling. Native American Heritage Month Lecture: The Trail of Tears Experience of Ohio’s Iroquois
Christopher B. Chaney, Unit Chief, Criminal Justice Information Law Unit, FBI Office of the General Counsel Mr. Chaney is a member of the Seneca-Cayuga Nation from Oklahoma who currently resides in West Virginia. In 1832, Seneca and Shawnee tribal members living in Ohio were forcibly removed from their homes and faced deprivation and death on the Trail of Tears. Upon arrival in Indian Territory (now Oklahoma), the tribal members forged a new way of life only to find their dreams shattered by the Civil War. Key to the survival of the Seneca-Cayuga Nation during this tumultuous time was Quashacaugh, also known as Lewis Davis, who is Mr. Chaney’s great- great-grandfather.

Annual Meeting of the West Virginia Archeological Society
Each year, archaeologists working throughout the state of West Virginia report their latest findings at the annual meeting of the West Virginia Archeological Society (WVAS). Includes a book signing of “Early Native Americans in West Virginia: the Fort Ancient Culture” by Darla Spencer. Registration begins at 8:00 am and the presentations will continue into the afternoon. Non-members are welcome. Cost is $7 for WVAS members, $10 for non-members, and $5 for students. Wheeling Symphony presents “Inspired By Dance”
André Raphel, conductor Christopher O’Riley, piano Program Stravinsky: Scherzo a la Russe Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto No. 2 Ravel: La Valse Ravel: Bolero This exhilarating concert takes its inspiration from dance, opening with the rhythmic Scherzo a la Russe by Stravinsky. Returning guest artist and “From the Top” radio host Christopher O’Riley performs one of Rachmaninoff’s most enduringly popular pieces, Piano Concerto No. 2; with its big opening chords and beautiful melodic line, the piano will truly dance with the orchestra in this spectacular romantic piece. The performance concludes with two ballet works by Ravel: La Valse and the perennial favorite Bolero, which Ravel viewed as an experiment in repetition, rhythm, crescendo and orchestration.

Currently, White can be seen in music-industry vet Cameron Crowe, and renowned director JJ Abrams’ new Showtime series, Roadies.
