State Fair of West Virginia
The State Fair of West Virginia is the quintessential summer activity. The offerings run from the agricultural to the acrobatic, in the largest multi-day celebration in West Virginia. The State Fair of West Virginia constantly reinvents its successful formula with a new theme each year and new performances and exhibits. Each year features special ticketed performances by big name musical acts, which in past years have included the iconic country band, Alabama and popular Bluegrass singer, Allison Krauss. The free family entertainment also changes yearly with past popular acts featuring dare-devil motorcyclists, trained wolves, magic acts and wild tigers.

Lewisburg Literary Festival
A celebration of literature, this two-day event is host to visiting authors, writing workshops, outdoor art, musical entertainment, children’s story time and performance art. 11th Annual Wheels of Hope Ride
This 11th annual race features three routes ranging from 29 to 107 miles, each traversing paved country roads with farmland views and mountain vistas. All rides begin and end in historic Lewisburg, voted "The Coolest Small Town in America" in 2011 by Budget Travel magazine. Ride will begin and end at the WVSOM on N. Lee Street in downtown Lewisburg.

Polar Bear Plunge
Club members gather annually to plunge in the 30-degree waters of Anthony Creek in the Monongahela National Forest. Spectators are welcome and new members are encouraged. The one-hour event includes club members singing the "Ode to Polar Bear" song, the Polar Bear Spirit Award winner presentation and a giant American Flag hung from the swinging bridge.
