Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad – Fall Foliage Trips

Our regular excursion is a 3-hour trip that goes southbound through the Trough to Sycamore Bridge and back. (It is approximately 35 miles round-trip.) There is no layover; passengers stay on-board. Fall foliage Trough Trips are offered every day October 1-28: Monday-Friday at 1pm; Saturdays and Sundays at 10am & 2:30pm, except Sunday, October 28, Trough Trip is at 1pm (final day of the season). Reservations highly recommended; required for Club Car service. Book online or by phone.

Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad – Green Spring Trip

Due to popular demand, we have added more Green Spring Specials in 2018! Previously, we offered this trip just once a year (the last Sunday in October, the last day of the season) for those railfans who enjoyed riding “rare mileage.” We found over the past two years that more families are enjoying this trip because it is shorter and more affordable. The trip to Green Spring is a 1 1/2 hour trip northbound. (It is approximately 25 miles round-trip.) Enjoy river views along the South Branch of the Potomac River as well as beautiful farmland and rock cuts (like Hanging Rock). There is no layover; passengers stay on-board.
