Bridge Brew Works
Bridge Brew Works is appropriately named, located in Fayetteville just minutes from the iconic New River Gorge Bridge. With an abundance of adventure throughout the Gorge, Bridge Brew Works is the ideal place to end the day and cool off. Try local favorites like the Mountain Momma Pale Ale or the Hellbender Black IPA. If you time your visit correctly, you’ll get the chance to try their delicious Oktoberfest.
Big Timber Brewing Company
Big Timber Brewing Company hails from the mountain town of Elkins and is strongly rooted in the history of the timber industry throughout the Potomac Highlands. Be sure to try favorites like the Blonde Ale, IPA and the Porter. Big Timber also offers several seasonal beers like Frost Notch and Forestfest Octoberfest. Their taproom is open several days a week, and the company plans to offer brewery tours in the near future.
Wheeling Brewing Company
Hailing from the Northern Panhandle, Wheeling Brewing Company is a micro-brewpub located in the historic Centre Market District in downtown Wheeling. Since 2o14, Wheeling Brewing Company has served up cold brews, fresh food and even live music to its patrons. The company is rooted in Wheeling’s industrial history – featuring a beer called the “Nail City Porter” among other local favorites and seasonal brews.
Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company
Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company is located just five minutes outside of Lewisburg, and like many other breweries in the state, they draw a great deal of inspiration from West Virginia lore. They feature six flagship beers, each named after prominent West Virginia figures and/or events. They also brew two seasonal beers and a handful of small-batches throughout the year. The taproom is open several days a week and features numerous events throughout the year.
