Wine Cellar Park

Dunbar, WV

Wine Cellar Park is a park where families or groups can spend peaceful quality time. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places for the pre-Civil War Wine Cellars that have become the site of many weddings and other photo opportunities. Contained within the 300 acres of the park is a 9-hole disc golf course (soon to be 18 holes); an amphitheater; and several picnic areas, two shelters and a large group shelter. The picnic areas are close to the park's playground and nearby handicapped accessible restrooms. There are paved pathways as well as trails throughout the wooded area of the park toward and around Laura Anderson Lake. The park contains over 300 acres of unexplored terrain for hikers year round, or cross country skiing during heavy snow days in the winter.
