Hike or bike to the historic 1910 concrete Ben's Run Dam, a 40' high abandoned structure that looks like a centuries old Roman Aqueduct. See amazing views of one of West Virginia's Top 10 most beautiful towns (according to The Culture Trip) from the Spencer Civil War Park. Visit the Chestnut Ridge Artist Colony from one trailhead. Ride the Tour de Lake Mountain Bike Race - one of the premier mountain biking events in West Virginia since 1994 held as the WVMBA season opener at Charles Fork Lake, this is the Daytona 500 of mountain biking. All trails are even lined with "fire tacks" making night time hiking and biking extra enjoyable.
