The Coal River Water Trail is the first water trail located entirely within the state of West Virginia. The CRG founded the Coal River Walhonde Water Trail, a designated river trail with designated access points, take-outs, and and places ashore to camp and picnic. This includes a series of planned river trips on the Big, Little and Lower Coal Rivers. The Trail is bound to be an adventure regardless of what section you choose to float. There are over 88 miles of river to explore. The Trail has over 20 boat launches.
