Shawnee Regional Park now managed by the City of Dunbar contains something for everyone. The park offers areas for meetings, weddings, reunions and other gatherings whether outside or inside by use of the Clubhouse, which has a picturesque view of the golf course and swimming pool, or 8 shelters of various sizes; all of which are handicap accessible. However, if you are into sports, the park also offers an outdoor swimming pool during the summer months, and athletic fields, as well as an 9 hole golf course. Or, you may be interested in the Shawnee Reservation Mound which was built by the Adena culture, probably around 250-150 BC.
