This 1.6-mile (one way) trail traverses field and forest, leading you to a rock outcrop that boasts a stunning view of the New River Gorge Bridge. The nearby 2.4-mile Endless Wall Trail and 1.6-mile Grandview Rim Trail also boast beautiful views of the New River Gorge.

Whitewater Rafting

Almost Heaven is home to the highest density of whitewater runs in the United States. Take on the varying intensities of rapids on the New River – ranging from Class I to Class V. Thanks to local outfitters like ACE Adventure Resort and Adventures on the Gorge, you don’t have to be an expert to enjoy rafting here. Try a rafting trip on the Lower New River, or chill out on the Upper New for a relaxing, slower-paced float. Bridge Walk

Bridge Walk is the gateway to a catwalk of a lifetime. Travel among the structural beams of the New River Gorge Bridge at 851 feet above the New River. The unique belay system keeps you harnessed at all times while your guide educates you on the history of the New River Gorge and the bridge’s structural features. Bridge Walk is open year-round, and a shuttle bus takes you to the entry point from the shuttle location in Lansing. This experience boasts some of the most scenic views of West Virginia.
