On Dec. 9 and March 17, Snowshoe Mountain Resort gives out free lift tickets to all resident of West Virginia. All you have to do is bring a proof of residency. At Snowshoe, you can enjoy 60 slopes, downhill skiing, snowboarding, tubing, terrain parks and much more at this gorgeous resort. Afterwards, warm up by one of the cozy fire pits located Village, which has apres spots around every corner.

Winterplace Ski Resort

At Winterplace Ski Resort, ski free on Jan. 21 and Feb. 18. Here’s how it works: On the weekends prior to Jan. 21 and Feb. 18 purchase a three-day equipment rental and a two-day lift ticket for Saturday / Sunday and you’ll be able to ski free on Jan. 21 and Feb. 18. Winterplace boasts terrain parks, downhill skiing, tubing and is a great place to learn how to ski or snowboard if you’ve never been before.
