Driving through Wardensville? Lost River Trading Post has great local arts and crafts from over fifty vendors including pottery, paintings, woodwork, farm tables, repurposed horse houses, vintage buttons, jewelry, hand sewn and woven items, and even birdhouses. You’ll never know what unique item you may find.

Charleston’s local farmer’s market, the WV Marketplace in the Capitol Market building, carries only West Virginia-made products. From candles to jam, Fiestaware and jewelry, this store has it all— even some exclusive finds you won’t see in regular marketplaces. Shopping for someone? Located in a renovated 3-story atrium in the heart of downtown, the Wheeling Artisan Center has walk-through artisan exhibits, and showcases the regional arts, crafts and food of the region. You can shop, eat and learn at this amazing venue.

Woodwork

Bear Wood Company is a small woodworking business in downtown Charleston specializing in preserving the past and telling local stories with reclaimed wood. Visit their showroom and shop and find a one-of-a-kind piece handcrafted the old-fashioned way.

Looking for a specialty gift online? ThomasWork offers their products on a variety of retail websites. Every product is designed and handmade in house in Shock, WV. Custom products are also available for order if you’re looking for something even more unique.

Fan of the television show Barnwood Builders on DIY Network? Lovers of the show can visit Barnwood Living and Antique Cabins and Barns, in White Sulphur Springs. There they specializes in the recovery and restoration of 19th century hand hewn log and timber frame structures. The materials are carefully rescued from pioneer homesteads and given new life as modern homes of distinction throughout the country.

Located in the Old Mount Lookout General Store, Gauley River Pottery features handcrafted, functional, wheel-thrown stoneware and handmade ceramics. In this family-owned studio, you can watch and learn from potters Mary and John.

Featuring unique art and handmade crafts in a 5,000 square foot gallery, Harmony Ridge Gallery in Lewisburg has plenty to discover. Shop for jewelry, whimsical garden art, wall sculpture, ceramics, woodwork, blown glass and contemporary furniture.

At Appalachian Glass, three generations of glassmakers are keeping the tradition alive in the town of Weston. The studio currently produces high quality mouth-blown, hand-crafted glass.

Family-owned Blenko Glass has been making traditional handmade glassware in Milton since 1893. They create a wide variety of handmade and mouth-blown glass, including glassware, art and keepsakes. Their pieces are made by skilled craftspeople with imaginative designs and exquisite colors.
