Music is special in the Mountain State. Across West Virginia you can find unique venues that welcome both local and nationally renown musicians throughout the year.

123 Pleasant Street has been the local fixture of Morgantown’s trendy music scene for more than 30 years. Nearby, you can find places like Black Bear Burritos and Mountain State Brewing Co. which are both perfect spots or a post-show dinner.

The V Club is located just one block from Bahnhof – a restaurant that has become a local favorite in Huntington. The V Club is also just a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of Pullman Square in downtown Huntington.

Typically recorded in CharlestonMountain Stage has been broadcasting seasoned musicians and exciting newcomers for more than 30 years. Each show can also be heard on National Public Radio. After catching a Mountain Stage show, discover Charleston’s wonderful downtown – lined with local shops and delicious restaurants.

If you enjoy your tunes alongside pieces of art, head over to The Grove in Fayetteville for enticing live music. The Grove is located just above Secret Sandwich Society and is just around the corner from Pies and Pints.

A popular stop along the Mountain Music Trail, the Purple Fiddle is an off-the-beaten path gem in Thomas full of small-town nightlife – dutifully rounding up a diverse lineup of music every single day. Thomas is lined with unique art galleries and shops, and the neighboring town of Davis is home to terrific dining like Sirianni’s Café.

No matter your taste or travel destination, there’s a music venue for you in the Mountain State.
