Nitro Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting
The City of Nitro hosts its Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Saturday, Dec. 9 starting at 4 p.m. The parade route runs from Pickens Road/1st Avenue to 21st Street and then on to Living Memorial Park. Officials will light the city’s Christmas tree, and free pictures with Santa and cocoa will be available.
Holiday Ornaments from Nature
Just in time for holiday gift-giving, join WVBG Educator Stacy Clovis-Woofter to craft unique ornaments from natural materials. A special children’s holiday story will be read, with hot cocoa and cookies to enjoy. Most appropriate for children ages 3 and older. $15 for WVBG members, $20 for non-members. Please register by Monday, November 27. * All activities take place at the West Virginia Botanic Garden, 1061 Tyrone Rd., Morgantown, WV 26508 unless otherwise noted.
