43rd Annual Mountain Heritage Arts & Crafts Festival
Come join your friends at one of the top judged festivals in America, the 43rd Annual Mountain Heritage Arts and Crafts Festival on September 28-30th, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. each day, at our NEW LOCATION, Jefferson County WV Fairgrounds. We have something for everyone to see and do at our festival. Approximately 200 quality juried artists and craftsperson’s from 24 states will be demonstrating their wonderful created work at the festival. There will be activities for the children such as: a children's tent where children can make a craft, face painting and scavenger hunt. For those that enjoy bluegrass music we have several great bands performing on Saturday and Sunday. Patrons must be 21 years of age or older to taste/purchase beer and wine, so be prepared to show valid identification. Elizabethtown Fall Festival on the Avenue
UMAC and the Former WV Penitentiary have teamed up for the biggest one-day event in Moundsville, WV, with vendors, food, live music, and history on Jefferson Avenue. Join us for the festival that celebrates the traditions and customs of the past. Marvel at demonstrations by artisans making apple butter, churning butter, making bread, weaving, woodcarving, creating bagpipes and decorative painting. Established by the Moundsville Economic Development Council (MEDC), this heritage festival takes place in Moundsville, WV, where from 1832 until 1866 the area was called Elizabethtown, named to honor Elizabeth, the wife of city founder Joseph Tomlinson. The Fall Family Farm Days festival is a great way for families to welcome the changing of the seasons and create memories together. Join us for live local bluegrass, delicious food, tasty baked goods, hayrides, visit our pumpkin patch, craft vendors, and children’s activities. This year we’re also featuring a LIVE visit from Spookley the Square Pumpkin! You’ve probably seen his popular kids’ movie on the Disney Junior t.v. network. He’ll be walking around both days to greet the children between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Dunbar Fall Festival (Street Fair)
City of Dunbar Annual Street Fair - Arts and Crafts, food vendors and live entertainment. There will be special games and activities for kids of all ages on Saturday afternoon through 8:00 p.m. Friday night's entertainment will be Grass Stains Bluegrass Band, Stonestreet Band and The Chase. Saturday's entertainment will include No Regret Band, Tommy Griffith, The Black Diamond and Kenny Evans from the Country Tonite Theatre in Pigeon Forge. Sunday's entertainment will include, but not limited to, Dunbar Ministries combined Choir and Squire Parsons will perform at 3:00 p.m.
