One winner will receive a gift bag of of locally handcrafted items not found in stores

Charleston, WV, (October 1, 2015) — Wild, Wonderful West Virginia will host an Instagram contest to encourage participation in the first annual West Virginia Craft Week, October 2-11, which coincides with American Craft Week.  One winner will receive a Wild, Wonderful gift bag of locally handcrafted items not found in stores.

 

“Artisans play a vital role in attracting visitors to the Mountain State. Whether you’re watching glass being blown or seeing the end-product on the shelves at Tamarack, there is something truly special about handmade West Virginia products,” Commissioner of Tourism Amy Shuler Goodwin said. “West Virginia Craft Week is a great opportunity for travelers to connect with our West Virginia artisans and explore the vibrant arts communities found all across the Mountain State.”

 

To enter: attend any West Virginia Craft Week event and post a photo to Instagram using #MyWVCraft and #WVCraftWeek.  Participants are encouraged tag the event location and/or artist.  The winner will be announced following West Virginia Craft Week and contacted via Instagram.

 

West Virginia Craft Week events will highlight more than 100 West Virginia artists from around the state with open studios, exhibitions, galleries and other unique events.
