Soak Up Natural Waters
Located in the heart of town, Berkeley Springs State Park has a little bit of everything. Treat yourself to a luxurious whirlpool or a relaxing Roman Bath at the Main Bathhouse. The private walk-in Roman Bath contains 750 gallons of mineral water heated to 102 degrees Fahrenheit and sourced from the natural spring. The whirlpool, also heated to 102 degrees, is a 150-gallon mineral bath with jets. Add a 20-minute sauna to your package with any bath or massage. Soaks are typically 30 minutes long and can be reserved for individuals, couples or families.

Follow Historical Footprints
Famed as the country’s first spa, Berkeley Springs has a history so rich that you can literally jump in it. George Washington was a regular visitor to the area and an advocate of the spring’s curative powers when he was 16 years old. Today, you can visit the recreated version of George Washington’s bathtub and take your own presidential plunge. This bathtub is so famous that it has its annual celebration!
You can also explore nearly 80 miles of the Washington Heritage Trail National Scenic Byway, including George Washington’s downtown lot, the spectacular Panorama Overlook and the Paw Paw Tunnel and more than a dozen other historical sites.

Shop for the Soul
Have a shopping excursion on several blocks of historic downtown where you can find everything from antiques, cheese, gourmet oils, Himalayan crafts, jewelry, clothes and gifts galore. Stop by the Berkeley Springs Antiques Mall, where you’ll find collectibles from 30 dealers. The Fleur de Lis Cheese Shop specializes in fine meats and cheeses. Shop for beautifully painted rocks, glassware, oil paintings and more at Rocks-N-Glass. Mineral Springs Trading Company is your ticket for unique finds that are locally sourced and sure to spruce up your home.

Be Entertained
After you dry off from taking a dip in the healing waters, take a few hours and find some quality entertainment. Sit back and watch a movie at the vintage Star Movie Theatre on the weekends. The Ice House Art Center is home to the Morgan Arts Council and is the site of concerts, gallery exhibits, lectures, community theater and art and movement classes for adults and youth. The Ice House Co-Op gallery offers the work of more than 30 local and regional artisans. There is live music at several locations every weekend, so your ears will always be blessed with Appalachian tunes.
