This palace colors the mountains in a stunning celebration
Picture yourself carefree, dancing about surrounded by a rainbow cloud of colors at “America’s Taj Mahal.” Sounds great, right?
Known traditionally in India as “Holi,” the Festival of Colors celebration at The Palace of Gold in Moundsville, WV, brings people from all cultures together to energize their lives and celebrate friendship and unity.
It’s the “World’s Happiest Event” (and definitely its brightest!)
3… 2… 1… Throw your troubles (and your organic colored powders) high into the sky every hour during the group color throws.
You’ll be blown away by the beauty of a sky full of bright colors! Especially against the backdrop of the ornate palace and rolling ground’s gardens.
Kick back and enjoy live music all day long, and be wowed by the traditional Indian dance. Pack a spare outfit, or rep the powder with pride. (Don’t worry, it all washes out easily!)
Be sure and dine on delectable vegetarian meals from the palace’s own cafe, or learn some yoga.
Come together with thousands of people from West Virginia and beyond for a day of color-filled fun, making real mountain memories!
