The Liz Spurlock Amphitheater at Chief Logan State Park is the site for outdoor theater performances arranged by Aracoma Story, Inc. Each summer they perform the historical drama “The Aracoma Story,” which is about Shawnee tribal members who lived at the present-day location of the town of Logan. If live music’s your jam (pun intended) The Coalfield Jamboree is dedicated to bringing entertainment to the community with amazing concerts and a family friendly environment.

The area’s most famous attraction is the Hatfield – McCoy Trail System. With over 700 miles of beautiful mountainous trails and open 365 days a year the trail system is the perfect place to ride ATVs or UTVs and embrace the outdoors. Nearby Chief Logan State Park is a 4,000-acre recreational area with lodging, conference facilities, campgrounds, hiking trails, outdoor activities and attractions. If you have an itch to break out your golf clubs, play 18 holes at the Logan Country Club.
History
Visit the Doughboy Monument and Memorial at the War Memorial Park. This statue was dedicated on November 11, 1928 to those from Logan County who made the ultimate sacrifice in World War I, World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
