Whispering Springs Haven welcomes couples, small families, artists and nature lovers seeking simplicity & casual elegance void of distractions - yet minutes from the scenic Elk River Water Trail, Sutton and Summersville Lakes, and the small town charm of Gassaway & Historic Sutton's art district galleries, shops, restaurants and events. Nestled within a beautiful remote valley at the head of a hollow, at the head of 3 rushing creeks, guests experience peaceful days & starry nights within the immense natural beauty of our wildlife refuge. Explore our wildlife pond & waterfalls. Wildlife habitats surround our spacious, smoke-free cabin, 'The Hummingbird House', filled with natural light & cool mountain breezes. Every room has a view. Designed for 2-6 overnight guests, thoughtfully appointed fully equipped amenities promise a carefree vacation retreat from the outside world. A catered entree of your choice awaits you upon arrival to heat and enjoy in the privacy of our haven. Sink into our 2-person Jacuzzi spa tub overlooking the habitats. Comfortable high quality mattresses make it easy to fall asleep to the sounds of silence. Our kitchen is well equipped with all modern conveniences. Read a book from our library or write one. Draw, paint, sculpt, sew, weave or bead in our studio. Kids love our children's activity corner and family reading library. View wildlife from our decks, walk our trails. Play outdoor field games during the day, share stories around our fire pit at night. Enjoy our movie library or diverse music collection, karaoke, keyboard, mandolin and small instruments. Take our canoe for a day trip – or simply be together alone with nature. To enhance your vacation rental experience…you have the option to choose a retreat package or design a custom retreat. We offer therapeutic massage, aromatherapy baths and instruction by masters in fine arts, clay, photography, wellness and nature studies. Services are provided by a preferred list of talented independent licensed/insured professionals. Our host is on site during professional service sessions. Upon conclusion, your privacy is restored. Centrally located off 1-79, Exit 51 Frametown, we are 50 minutes from Charleston and 1-1/4 hours from Gauley River Recreation Area and Midland Trail. Our remote location is accessible via a 6-mile rural road that leads to a mountain gravel road into the valley. Our gravel road is gated for guaranteed peace and privacy. Vehicles slightly higher off the ground, 4x4 or all wheel drive vehicles are recommended. Enterprise Rental Car is located in Flatwoods.
Rental fees help support our wildlife habitats. Hunting & fishing within the property boundaries is prohibited. **To maintain guest privacy, visitors by reservation only please.
