West Fork Rail Trail

Bartow, WV

LENGTH: 26 miles LOCATION: Durbin, Pocahontas County to Glady, Randolph County. PERMITTED USES: Hiking, Biking, Cross Country Skiing, Horseback Riding This converted railroad bed offers access to a remote section of the Greenbrier watershed. The trail parallels the West Fork of the Greenbrier River almost its entire length. Durbin, (southern end) provides access, supplies and bike rentals. The trail surface is crushed limestone and is also nearly flat with an approximate 1% grade. Backpacking and camping are popular here. The trail is exceptionally Scenic with wildflowers in the Spring and Summer months and gloriously colored vistas in Autumn.
