The Goff House-Historic Site and Antique Mall

Former home of militia Col. David Goff, this house was abandoned by the family and used as the Beverly Union Hospital during the northern occupation of the town during the Civil War. Built during the early 1830's, restoration in the 1990's uncovered graffiti left by the soldiers and nurses who occupied the house during the war which has been preserved for viewing. This house, located on Main St, Beverly, WV, is maintained by the non-profit Historic Beverly Preservation as a tour site and antique mall. Open year round. www.historicbeverly.org.
