No visit to the WILD HEART OF WEST VIRGINIA is complete without a stop at THE RAIL & TRAIL STORE, our distinctive retail shops, now in two locations. These may be found on the historic Staunton-Parkersburg Turnpike in downtown Durbin and at the new "Railyard Restaurant" located adjacent to the Depot in the heart of downtown Elkins. Here you will find a unique collection of odd, off-the-wall, strange, and unusual gifts and souvenirs, including hats, T-shirts, books, and many different types of rail and outdoor-related items. For those with a larger-than-usual appetite, the now legendary "BIG SCOOP" hand-dipped ice cream cone is a required feature of the Durbin experience.
