Nestled in the Potomac Highlands along the banks of the Lost River, the Inn is just two hours from Washington, DC and one hour from Winchester, VA.
The heart of the Inn is our restored 19th century farmhouse featuring large guest rooms, historic details, and modern amenities. Several of the original farm buildings on the property have been converted into private guest cottages. Each guest room includes a private ensuite bath, a three-course breakfast each morning, and happy hour each evening during your stay.
The Inn is a fantastic base for exploring the natural beauty of the Lost River Valley. Hike to the top of Cranny Crow for an expansive vista spanning five counties, ride the trails of Lost River State Park on horseback, spend an afternoon swimming or fishing at Trout Pond Recreation Area, canoe the South Branch of the Potomac, spot majestic bald eagles on a scenic railroad excursion, or just relax with a good book and a glass of wine in the Inn’s Summer House.
