Hughes River – WMA
Parkersburg, WVHughes River Wildlife Management Area is a public hunting and fishing area located off of WV State Rt 47 east of Parkersburg, or West Virginia Rt. 53 which borders the southern portion of the area. Terrain ranges from river bottoms to steep slopes with mature oak or hickory and a patchwork of young pine-hardwood stands. Fishing opportunities include muskie, spotted bass, small mouth bass, channel and flat-head catfish, rock bass, and several species of sunfish. Hunting prospects include deer, grouse rabbit, squirrel, turkey. Camping is not permitted.
