Greenbrier State Forest

Caldwell, WV

Located in the southeastern corner of the state near the border of Virginia, Greenbrier State Forest provides over 5,100 acres of heavily forested, mountainous terrain for outdoor recreation. Magnificent views of the surrounding countryside are afforded by the impressive and imposing 3,280' high Kate's Mountain.

The park offers a 16-unit campground suitable for tents and trailers. The sites feature electric hookups, picnic table, on-site and central bathhouse, and a stone fireplace for grilling-out with the family. The campground is open spring through fall, weather permitting. Campsites may be reserved online at any time, by phone or at the campground office.

Greenbrier State Forest has 14 cabins where you can kick back and enjoy your mountain retreat to the beautiful southeastern corner of West Virginia. These cabins have plenty of room for the whole family and the forest provides acres upon acres of rugged woodland for adventure. Designated pet-friendly cabins are available.
Cabins are available April-October. Check in begins at 4 p.m., and check out is by 10 a.m. for all cabins.
