Cranberry Creek Cascades is a natural treasure in the downtown Beckley area. To access the falls, take Stanaford Mine Road in Beckley and drive a quarter mile to the Piney Creek Preserve entrance. Wildwood Trailhead and Waterfall Hollow Trail are on the right. Take the stone steps and make your way onto the Waterfall Hollow Trail. This trail is a former coal mine bench, making the 100-yard walk relatively flat. Two waterfalls will greet you at the Little Whitestick Creek and Cranberry Creek confluence: Cranberry Creek Cascades on the right, and Little Whitestick Falls to the left. Enjoy the relaxing sound of layering cascades gushing over the slippery rocks of Cranberry Creek.
