Clarksburg History Museum
Clarksburg, West VirginiaIn 2017, a small group of dedicated volunteers founded the Clarksburg History Museum. After about a year of grueling work and numerous artifact donations, The Clarksburg History Museum found a home and opened its doors on November 11, 2018.
The goal of the volunteers was to enrich, excite, and educate our community on the vast history of Clarksburg, West Virginia.
Our current exhibits include Victory High Class of 1948, Gray Barker, Interactive Coal Mining, Military, Fossils, John W. Davis, Stonewall Jackson and family, Civil War, Glass and Marble and various local art pieces.
We host a variety of different art exhibits and events, such as 'Listening for Racial Understanding', local author forums, school and small group tours, trainings, and historical marker and graveyard tours.
