Big Bend Golf Course

Eighteen hole championship golf course, par 71; 6,237 yards. Course rating: back 69.9; slope 116, middle 68.7; slope 114. There is a pro shop and snack bar that serves hot sandwiches and beverages.

The Golf Course is located in Tornado, WV. Take I-64 west from Charleston, exit at Institute and turn West onto Route 25. Turn left at the stop light and cross the St. Albans Bridge. Go under the railroad underpass. Turn right at the stoplight (onto 6th Ave.). Follow 6th Avenue around the 1/2 loop and turn right onto the bridge, onto West Main. Follow to the Fire Department and turn left onto Coal River Road. Stay on Coal River Road until you see a sign on the left to Big Bend Golf Course.

Summer: 7 a.m. - dusk; Winter hours: 9 a.m. - dusk.
