These 3 Almost Heaven waterparks are a must for summer

When the summer sun warms up the mountains of Almost Heaven, the best way to cool off is in the water. These West Virginia waterparks offer fresh, cool waters in which to relax and have some fun. It’s a kid’s dream to swim, play on obstacles and jump into the lake.

1. Water Ways Waterpark

Located in Julian, Water Ways Waterpark is an outdoor waterpark with waterslides, a lazy river, Kiddy Island and more. With a total of five slides, 2 body slides and 1 tube slide, the waterpark has something for everyone – and each slide empties into the lazy river. Kiddy Island is an island just for young children with slides, swings and a water umbrella.  At Water Ways, you’ll also be able to dry off on a walking trail, sheltered picnic area, gift shop and more.

2. ACE’s Wonderland Waterpark

Waterslides. Ziplines. Giant inflatable toys. It’s all at ACE’s Wonderland Waterpark. Climb giant inflatable mountains, jump into the lake, splash down from the tower on the lake zip line, or launch your friends into the water on the famous BLOB feature. Kids and adults alike will enjoy racing down the 200’ twin water slides and jumping on trampolines. Afterward, kick back on the beach with a slice of wood-fired pizza to watch the sunset.

3. Wildwater Express Waterslide

Have fun in the sun on the Wildwater Express Waterslide, 267 feet of wild, splashing excitement in Hinton. In addition to the waterslide, there is a pool, kiddie pool, and volleyball and basketball courts on site.
