Metro Valley
Start your antique adventure in West Virginia’s capital city of Charleston. Right off of the bustling Capitol Street you’ll find many opportunities for vintage finds. Be sure to visit The Consignment Company and Stray Dog Antiques.
Next, make your way into the neighboring city of South Charleston and visit The Mound Area. This area hosts several very fine antique and unique locally owned shops. Don’t miss out, the South Charleston Antique Mall boasts 18,000 square feet of inventory.
Continue your quest for antique artifacts in the nearby town of Nitro. Only a 20-minute drive outside of Charleston, you’ll find plenty of shops to explore. Make sure you plan to visit the Nitro Antique Mall, Somewhere In Time Antiques & Flea Market, and Brown’s Antique Mall.
Northern Panhandle
Make a trip to Wheeling. The Historic Centre Market neighborhood has many unique eateries and a number of antique shops all within a one block walking area. Antiques on the Market and Shuggy’s Antiques Jewelry are must-sees. Can’t get enough? Stop by Sibs Antiques for even more unique finds.
Mountaineer Country
Morgantown is a treasure trove of antiques and collectibles. There are plenty of places to stop in and see what you can find, like Antiques & Old Books. There’s no secret on what you’ll find there, the name says it all. While you’re there, check out other shops in the area like Eloquence Antiques and Old Stone House, the oldest stone dwelling in Monongalia County.
Continue your journey just outside of Morgantown, in the city of Fairmont. Spend time perusing the collectibles at Sweet Memories Antique Mall, Arts & Antiques Marketplace and Savvy Consignment.
The neighboring towns of Bridgeport and Clarksburg are perfect places to shop for relics of the past. At Shahady’s Antique Warehouse the unusual is usual, with interesting inventory from as early as the 1800s. West End Antiques in Clarksburg is a sure stop for some vintage collectibles.
