The sights and sounds you’ll experience on an excursion along the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad are unparalleled. Trough Trip

On this excursion, you’ll wind along the South Branch of the Potomac River and enter the Trough, a stunning gorge home to American Bald Eagles. From there, you’ll head to Sycamore Bridge and back to Wappocomo Station.

Petersburg Trip

This all-day trip is an adventure through Moorefield and then into Petersburg. In Petersburg, stop at the charming South Side Depot where you’ll fine West Virginia-made items, pottery, glass, antiques and a coffee shop.

Green Spring Special Trip

Experience beautiful river views of the South Branch of the Potomac River, farmland and rock cuts along the Green Spring Special trip.

On any of these excursions club and coach classes are offered. In club, beautifully restored lounge cars offer loveseats with tables for your comfort on the trip. Meal service is complemented with Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad China. Coach provides cushioned, high-back, bench-style seating.
