📍Blackwater Falls Gentle Trail
A quarter-mile paved path, the Gentle Trail at Blackwater Falls State Park leads to one of the most iconic landmarks in the state. Gaze upon the amber waters of the park’s namesake falls when peering over the observation deck. Breathe in fresh mountain air while catching sights of the rolling cascade from a bird’s-eye view. 📍Almost Heaven Swing at East River Mountain Overlook
Perched in the heart of Bluefield, this Almost Heaven swing gives way to vast views of rolling hills and valleys as far as the eye can see. Located a short distance from the parking lot, this swing can be accessed by visitors who use wheelchairs, scooters or strollers.


📍Cranberry Glades Boardwalk
One of the most unique landscapes in West Virginia, the Cranberry Glades are home to five different bogs that contain plant life typically found in the tundra. Here you’ll find a level boardwalk that meanders through the multitude of impressive species without harming a single one. The half-mile loop makes for an enjoyable adventure!
📍Coopers Rock Overlook
Located less than 15 miles from Morgantown, the overlook at Coopers Rock State Forest is known for exceptional, sweeping views of sunrises and sunsets. The largest falls on the New River, Sandstone Falls spans 1,500 feet across the river with drops up to 25 feet.
