This event also serves as the WV State BBQ Championship with the winner representing WV at the Jack Daniels Worldwide Invitational BBQ Tournament, the American Royal BBQ Tournament, Sonny's BBQ Tournament, and a WV team will also win the "WV Cup" from the Mid-Atlantic BBQ Association.
