Come join Certified Health Coach, MaryAnn Post as we talk about developing your own "moving plan". This interactive workshop discusses the 3 components of fitness to include each week, nutrient rich snacks to sample, a walk in the garden and Q & A with a local personal trainer. Most appropriate for adults. Please pre-register for ALL activities 48 hours in advance at www.wvbg.org. $30 for WVBG members, $45 for non-members. Space is limited, register today! All activities take place at the West Virginia Botanic Garden, 1061 Tyrone Road, Morgantown, WV 26508 unless otherwise noted. Park in the lower parking area. Walks and presentations will last 1.5-2hrs and are free of charge unless otherwise noted. Donations are appreciated and can be made online, or at the kiosk by the lower lot. Please refrain from bringing your pet to activities.

Friday Family Walk

Join WVBG Education Director Erin Smaldone on the second Friday of each month for a short story followed by a walk around the Garden concluding with a simple craft. This easy, casual walk is a great way for children and their caretakers to get outside and enjoy nature and the company of others. The trail will accommodate “off road” strollers. All ages. Free. Donations encouraged. Please register by Thursday, November 9. *All activities take place at the West Virginia Botanic Garden, 1061 Tyrone Rd., Morgantown, WV 26508 unless otherwise noted. Seed Saving

What does open-pollinated mean? Hybrid, Heirloom, or Non-GMO seeds? Join WVBG Educator Stacy Clovis-Woofter to learn about the ancient practice of seed-saving, the importance of preserving our seed biodiversity, and what the labels on seed packages mean. This program features an autumn seed-collection walk. Open to all ages. $5 for WVBG members, $15 for non-members. 13th Annual West Virginia Hot Dog Festival

A full day of live entertainment, music, amusements, and contests for you, the family and the family dog! Our Tri-State area is home to an unusually large number of hot dog businesses, many decades-old, family-owned businesses that shine as beloved, true traditions! We invite you to come to Downtown Huntington as we collect a dozen of the area's top hot dog businesses, and put them in one location. We welcome you, your family, and the family dog to come to our annual WV Hot Dog Festival to enjoy contests and competitions, live music and entertainment all day, displays, prizes, demonstrations, crafts, shopping, car and truck shows, and to sample all of these wonderfully delicious hot dogs (as much as you can eat!) in one location for the entire day at Pullman Square! Come treat yourself (and your little dog too!) to our annual WV Hot Dog Festival! This year is the 13th Anniversary! YWCA Race to End Racism

West Virginia Botanic Garden Spring Bird Walk

April 23, 7:30 a.m. Spring Bird Walk Join local birder Terry Bronson on an early morning bird walk. We will be birding by eye and ear to search in the bushes and boughs for our feathered friends. Bring binoculars if you have them. All ages.

West Virginia Botanic Garden Beginner’s Guide to Plant Identification Walk

On this walk with Research Botanist Cindy Huebner, participants will be introduced to the basics of plant identification and learn to identify several plant species with a focus on trees and shrubs. This walk is most appropriate for older children and adults. It is free and open to the public Please refrain from bringing your pet. Meet in the lower parking lot of the Botanic Garden.
