A Service in Memory of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Davis & Elkins College will host a service in memory of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at 3 p.m. Monday, January 16 in Myles Center for the Arts Harper-McNeeley Auditorium. The program will include a scripture reading, music and a showing of an excerpt from “Three Evils of Society.” The Rev. Jeremiah Jasper, pastor of Woodford Memorial United Methodist Church in Elkins, will serve as guest speaker. Davis & Elkins College students also will take part in the program. The ceremony will conclude with a conversation titled “Where do we go from here?” and the lighting of candles for peace. There is no admission fee.
