C & D Bunner Family Spooky Yard Haunt

We are truly a Family Yard Haunt. We have 32 different themed rooms/areas, plus a maze to walk through. Kids Day: October 6 from 1pm - 5pm and October 21 from 1pm - 3pm. All Ages welcome. The kids may wear their costumes these days. We ask that no face masks be worn or anything else on their face please! We will have a face painter available free of charge. The kids get to walk through the Haunt and collect candy and treats. There are no tricks. We will have treat bags to give to the kids this day. The first 50 kids in Saturday and Sunday will receive a T-shirt. Fright Night: October 13 and 27 from 7:30pm - 11:00pm. Please remember this is for ages 12 and up ONLY. These two nights are much darker. All ages welcome, but could be scary for young children; Admission Free; Donations Welcome. Please park at Mt. Nebo Church and walk up or park along side the road were the rope lights are located. We are not handicap accessible.

Fear the Forest – Haunted Hayrides

The last two weekends in October, come experience the Fear the Forest Presents "CarnEvil Haunted Hayrides" at the Summersville Lake Retreat & Lighthouse where Evil Coachmen take you on a tractor driven hayride thru the forest, and where carnivorous creatures of the night will scare the living daylights out of you!

Miller’s Nightmare Haunted Farm

Miller's Nightmare is a full, extensive haunted farm and Halloween event. We offer food, games, bonfires, music and a haunted farm to explore. The haunted farm features a mysterious hayride which transports guests from the first farm to the second farm. From there, guests must wind their way through a pitch black corn maze with with inhabitants inflicted with a plethora of ailments. Then they venture into a forest of even darker night, only to find more fright. Hours: ticket sales begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 10 p.m. Dates: Oct. 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29, and 31.

Nightmare on the Gorge

Explore an abandoned resort and stir up some of the ghosts and creatures who hide in the shadows. Be careful as you move through the woods because you never know who... or what... is watching you... maybe some guests who checked into their cabins but never left? Strange things happen in the off-season around here and there are many stories about missing campers who just disappeared. Pay attention or else you might end up one of those stories!

ShockaCon Horror/Sci-Fi Convention

Celebrity Guests: Celebrity guests Zach Galligan (Gremlins), Steve Johnson (Ghostbusters), Camille Keaton (I Spit on Your Grave), Oliver Robins (Poltergeist), and Mountain Monsters John Tice, Willy McQuillan, and Wild Bill will be presenting panels and demos and signing autographs all weekend. Regional musicians Weird Paul Petroskey, The Renfields, OrViLL REX, Charlie Ant Eaterr, Miniature Giant, and Hurl Brickbat will perform, as well as belly dance troupes Bint Il Nahar and Naughty Samadhi. The TriState Transylvanians, who produce shadow casts of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and other classics, will stage an original narrative produced via a mash up of cult films, and River City Youth Ballet Ensemble will demonstrate how to do the Thriller dance! The weekend has a slew of interactive and educational events, including acting, fx makeup, home haunt prop building, costuming and cosplay, paranormal investigation, and the procedures and practices of embalming - there is truly something for everyone! There are chances to win fabulous prizes in many contests, such as the adult and kid's costume contests, scream contests, and mummy wrapping, and unique shopping with specialty vendors. ShockaCon is a perfect event for families. Sunday, Oct 2 is traditionally Kid's Day--boasting fun events like a spooky fitness game, origami classes, wand making, and the WV Ghosbuster's Adventure event!
