Live on the Levee with Split Nixon and No Pretty Pictures

Headliner: Split Nixon Formed in the spring of 2002 from Ashland Kentucky, this band of brothers with a thirst for musical success and a strong willingness to blaze the path, Split Nixon began it's journey. Countless rehearsals and studio sessions led to the self titled freshman album completed early in 2004. After it's release, Split Nixon would begin playing numerous regional shows throughout Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia. The band quickly gathered a legion of fans in the area and also attracted the attention of many local radio stations. Shortly after, the band signed a management deal with Ameritone Entertainment from Los Angelos, CA This led to national tours with platinum selling acts such as Saliva and Theory of a Deadman. To date, Split Nixon has shared the stage with countless national acts such as the above mentioned, Shinedown, Soil, Hell Yeah, Black Stone Cherry, Seven Mary Three, Hale Storm, Bobaflex, Ra and many many others. Currently, the band just released a second album entitled "unbreakable" which is now available for sale. Check it out and let us know what you think......Split Nixon Rocks!! Opener: No Pretty Pictures Since the beginning, we have wanted to bring an original sound to the table. In a scene replete with bluegrass, Americana, jam bands and singer-songwriters (which are all wonderful genres in and of themselves), we wish to stand out. With influences anywhere from Rush to Thrice to Dave Matthews Band or This Town Needs Guns, CAKE, Minus the Bear, Why?, you name it! We like to touch on as many bases as we can.

Buddy Guy

Buddy Guy is one of the most celebrated blues guitarists of his generation. For more than half a century, he has blended the genres of blues and rock and roll like no other performer. His early work at Chess Records where he could be found sitting in with Muddy Waters, and his early gigs in Chicago where he became famous for his fiery guitar work and flashy stage style led him to the pinnacle of the blues ‘n’ rock genre for which he is known. Guy has earned seven Grammy Awards—Best Blues Album (2015), Best Contemporary Blues Album (2010), Best Traditional Blues Album (2003), Best Contemporary Blues Album – or Contemporary Blues Recording (1991, 1993, 1995) and the Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award (2015). He has received the National Medal of the Arts as well as the Kennedy Center Honors and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005 where he was presented with his award by Eric Clapton and B.B. King. It’s no coincidence that Guy counts King among his influences along with T-Bone Walker and Otis “Lightin’ Slim” Hicks but he is also credited with influencing the careers of Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn.
