Native American Heritage Gathering
This annual two-day event features snakes and raptors, Living History presentations, Red River Drum, dancing and storytelling. There will be food and craft vendors and children’s activities. The North House Museum will open a related exhibit of Native American art and craft. Find us on the grounds of the North House Museum and New River Community and Technical College, also known as Academy Park. Elementary Schools are specially invited on Friday.
Native American Heritage Gathering
This two-day Native American Heritage Gathering will take place on the lawn of NRCTC in downtown Lewisburg on May 20-21. Bring your lawn chair or blanket and enjoy! Sponsored by Greenbrier Historical Society, this event is free, family friendly and open to the public. Activities will include traditional Native American dancing, Learning Lodges, Sacagawea and Chief Cornstalk--History Alive Presentation, Flying Higher Birds of Prey demonstration, Learning modules about Native American culture and heritage, Red River Drum, Story Telling, Historical Exhibits and Vendors.
