Come join us for our Cookies & Canvas Painting Event with Deborah Ross Smith as our Paintbrush Social Instructor! Create a painted masterpiece on canvas, while nibbling on a sweet treat. All supplies included (paint, canvas, and sweets). Be sure to wear clothes to paint in! Participation open to adults of any age and children 13 and older. WoodsFest
"The Mountains are calling..." WoodsFest is situated on a scenic ridge with gorgeous panoramic views of the golf courses and mountains. Our artisans are hand selected and we hope to have many of your returning favorites. Enjoy live music and good food while browsing through the unique works of hand-picked artisans. Discover a great find in wood-working, painting, jewelry, metal-work, ceramics and much more! Kids will enjoy special activities just for them. Continuous entertainment and food will make you want to stay the day. Hours are 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2018.

Watoga Art in the Park
Watoga Art in the Park – bringing together artists and the great outdoors. Watoga Art in the Park features a great fun- filled weekend for families set in one of West Virginia's most beautiful parks – Watoga State Park. The juried fine art and craft fair will feature some of the region's most impressive artists and craftspeople showcasing jewelry, pottery, fiber, glass, photography, painting and much more Find that perfect gift for a loved one or yourself. Along with showcasing fine art for purchase, there will be eight professional artists, instructing in 22 workshops throughout the two-day event to help you create your own work of art. Learn pastels, watercolors, or acrylics from accomplished artists, watch and participate in wood-fire pottery or blacksmithing, make your own mask and paint or decorate it, check out white oak basketry, as well as yoga and art therapy. Join in one or all three nature walks lead by a Watoga State Park Naturalist. Learn about birds and then return to paint what you observed, make a clay dish using some of the natural materials you'll find along your walk, or check out the hike where you learn to identify animal footprints. In the evening you can participate in an Owl Prowl and the even make owl houses to take home with you. There will be great music both days as well as a variety of foods. Kids Corner open all day. The Hampshire Highlands Studio Tour
Free, self-guided art tour and sale at four convenient locations off Rte 50 in Romney and Capon Bridge, Hampshire County, WV. Just follow the signs to each location. Meet 15 different celebrated artists and see demonstrations at each location. Most of the artists have won awards in various art shows. Wonderful weekend outing and unique holiday gifts. East End Bazaar: The Art of Painting
The Bazaar provides local and regional artists and craftspeople a much-needed venue to display and sell their wares. The selection you will discover at the Bazaar includes an assortment of paintings, jewelry, sculptures, stained glass, handmade crafts (such as soaps, textiles, and baskets,) photography, value-added food (such as jams and honey,) pottery, hand-blown glass, and much more. Aside from our skilled artisans, local musicians and performers are showcased each week at the Bazaar, along with a variety of local food vendors and producers of farm-fresh fruits and vegetables.
Oil Painting Class
For ages 12 and over. In this class you will learn about color mixing, brush strokes, and oil paint application. Encaustic Painting Workshop
For age12+. This encaustic class is suitable for students new to this exciting medium. You will be introduced to the basics of encaustic painting, which is the ancient art of painting with molten beeswax. You will explore various techniques, including incorporating photos and collage into your painting. Price includes 3 panels, brushes, and encaustic materials.
