Native American Heritage Gathering
This annual two-day event features snakes and raptors, Living History presentations, Red River Drum, dancing and storytelling. There will be food and craft vendors and children’s activities. The North House Museum will open a related exhibit of Native American art and craft. Find us on the grounds of the North House Museum and New River Community and Technical College, also known as Academy Park. Elementary Schools are specially invited on Friday.

Petroglyph Postcards
Prehistoric drawings engraved in stone have been found throughout West Virginia. Children find inspiration in the museum's exhibits to make their own petroglyph designs.
Cass Scenic RR State Park – June 25 – CASS LOGGING DAYS
Cass Logging Days is two days of train and logging history! June 25-26, 2016 Interpreter Rich Pawling dressed as a Wood Hick (one who fells trees for a livelihood) wearing bib overalls, a cut-off shirt and boots will be presenting the following program at Museum both days: What it Was Like to Work for the Company. Whether living and working in a logging camp up on the Cheat Mountain or spending a night in the Company town of Cass on Saturday to "blow'er in." Hear the interpretation of the past (logging railroads, camp life, transportation, laws and their enforcement, tragedies, etc.). Bring the kids to talk and interact with the wood hick and to learn more about life in Cass during the 1920's and 1930's! Learn more on Cass event page. Guyandotte Civil War Days
Guyandotte Civil War Days focuses its programs on this historic event in an effort to celebrate and promote the rich heritage of the area. The re-enactment of the Confederate raid on Saturday is the highlight of this event. The re-enactment is a true re-enactment based on known historical facts concerning the November 10,1861, skirmish. The re-enactment of the Union Troops recapturing the town on Sunday will demonstrate the actual events of November 11, 1861. Re-enactments of known historic events and living history scenarios will be presented over the weekend. Be sure to check out the display cases at the Guyandotte Library for a display of Civil War facts and photographs. During both days there will be many other scenarios of life during the war years, including exhibitions by military field surgeons. There will be a pavilion where you can meet local area authors. There will be multiple "Sutlers" when you can buy period clothing, merchandise and souvenirs.
George Washington’s Bathtub Celebration
Berkeley Springs celebrates its most unique historic site, George Washington’s Bathtub, with a weekend devoted to colonial food specials, dollar sales and local history. From Friday through Sunday, March 18-20, the tiny spa town highlights the country’s only outdoor monument to presidential bathing.
