Hayrides at the WV Wildlife Center

Enjoy the cool nights of Fall with a Hayride through the WV Wildlife Center!  Perfect for families, young children, and groups of friends, our Hayrides have become incredibly popular!  Hayrides will start at 4:30 p.m. and will last until 7:00 p.m or dark, whichever comes first. 

Blast from the Past

Downtown Buckhannon will travel back to the 1950's &1960's for a Blast From The Past Block Party on July 21st & 22nd. Classic & antique vehicles will be featured throughout the Historic Downtown Buckhannon District (Main Street) both Friday and Saturday evenings. Friday Evening, July 21st, 5 PM - 10 PM: Blast From The Past joins Festival Fridays for a classic car cruise-in, live music and entertainment in Jaw Bone Park. Saturday Evening, July 22nd, 6 PM - 11 PM: Buckhannon's Main Street will be closed for a Block Party & classic car street show. Enjoy live entertainment by De Ja Vu; be sure to dress for the 50's & 60's theme! Be There Or Be Square!

WV Day Celebration

Honor West Virginia's Birthday on June 20, 2017 at the WV Wildlife Center! This year’s celebration will be “For the Birds”. The West Virginia Raptor Rehabilitation Center will be conducting an environmental education program at the Amphitheater. We’ll have educational activities and crafts for the kids designed to teach them how to protect the habitats for all birds. We’ll be serving birthday cake so come celebrate the birth of our state.

Spooky Night Tours at the WV Wildlife Center

This will mark the 7th year for this family-friendly event. We have already started planning and building new props. Hayrides will start at 4:30 p.m. and will last until just before 7:00 p.m. At that time, we’ll clear the tractors out of the way and start the guided tours of the animal exhibits. The maze will be open from 4:30 to 9:00 p.m. We welcome your group for this event. Please call the office at least one week in advance so we can prepare for your visit and ensure things run smoothly for you. The office is open Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. You can reach us by calling 304-924-6211. Regular admission fees apply.
