StreetWorks Art Auction

Up to 40 local artists will create pieces of art inspired by the theme “Nevertheless, She Persisted: Celebrating Achievements of Women”. During the event, all original pieces will be auctioned off by our favorite auctioneer Viki Williams, a.k.a. Ted Brightwell, who creates a one of a kind auction experience. Each piece will be digitally placed on the StreetWorks signs down Washington Street, continuing the goal of creating a mile-long art gallery on Charleston’s East End. Music provided by the Bark-o-Loungers.

Cabin Fever Craft Show

Celebrate Spring’s arrival with the Cabin Fever Craft Show featuring local artisans and their handmade goods. Visit historic Arthurdale’s Center Hall on Saturday March 25 to shake the winter blues and shop locally made treasures. From ceramics, sewing, and baskets to ironwork, knives, and leatherwork, everything is local and handmade. While you're here, explore the Arthurdale Craft Shop and browse the new inventory. Art in the Park

Forty artists exhibit and sell artwork including oil, acrylic, pastels, and watercolor paintings; woodcarving, pottery, photography, and other fine art. Cranberry Shindig 30 Year Celebration

This traditional Appalachian festival features local artisans to demonstrate and sell their goods from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Demonstrations and goods including blacksmithing, spinning wheel, fly tying, wood turning, wood sculptures, dulcimer making and demonstrating, homemade soap, fudge, honey, maple syrup, and much more. We have limited space.

The Music and the Mountains Old Time Festival

The Music and the Mountains Old Time Festival will showcase and celebrate Appalachian culture and craft. This community based, family friendly event will bring together local artisans and musicians to provide an opportunity for our local community and visitors to experience Appalachian craft demonstrations, old time music and dance traditions along with regional food. Friday night's concert will feature old time, traditional Appalachian music. Saturday afternoon events will include: local craft demonstrations, a display of regional archival photographs, old time children's games and activities, an open old time community jam, a cornbread contest and a soup bean dinner. Saturday night will offer beginner square dance lessons and a square dance bard and caller.
