It is indeed two opposite worlds that BKO have decided to bring up together in order to develop a resolutely urban music style rooted in secular tradition.

Festival of India 2018

Ratha Yatra or the Festival of India (Chariots) is one of the world’s oldest religious festivals, originally celebrated in Jagannath Puri. By the mercy of Srila Prabhupada this festival is now being celebrated all over the world. In the summer of 1967, the city of San Francisco saw the Western world’s first Ratha Yatra. Many other swamis and yogis journeyed to the West in the past, but none of them had the vision of Srila Prabhupada: to establish the Krishna conscious culture of ancient India without watering it down. Srila Prabhupada introduced Lord Jagannatha to the Western world and also inaugurated the Ratha Yatra ceremony, in its original format. New Vrindaban will celebrate this international festival for the third year in downtown Wheeling, West Virginia.

The event is an official International Chili Society (ICS) competition. The ICS is a nonprofit organization that sanctions chili cookoffs with judging and cooking rules/regulations. The events are worldwide and benefit charities and nonprofit organizations. All winners of ICS-sanctioned cookoffs qualify to compete for cash prizes and awards at the World’s Championship Chili Cookoff held each year in October. The ICS is the largest food contest/festival organization in the world.

Soon we booked several shows in Charleston at The Boulevard Tavern, The Empty Glass, Third Eye Cabaret, and Nomadic Tribes Collective, along with upcoming appearances at Roni's Pizza Bar and More, and on 88.1 FM for a live radio interview on WTSQ's Musicians Edition.
