40th Anniversary of the West Virginia Division of Culture and History
The West Virginia Division of Culture and History will celebrate 40 years with special activities for the whole family. Cake and cupcakes will be served at noon. Forty limited edition Blenko glass pieces will be on sale, along with arts and crafts activities for children, an in depth look into the different sections of the division and the amazing work the agency does around the Mountain State and behind-the-scenes tours of the State Museum collection featuring over 60,000 artifacts and the State Archives collection. A new WWI exhibit will also be unveiled.
West Virginia’s 154th Birthday Celebration
Stop by and sign the state's birthday card! West Virginia Day celebration at the Culture Center complete with youth activities, cake-cutting ceremony with birthday cupcakes and refreshments for visitors. Limited edition Blenko glassware will be on sale along with a presentation by Thorny Lieberman, author and architectural photographer.
