Huntington Holiday Express 2017

All aboard for a one-hour holiday train ride for kids. Santa will be on board giving out a gift for each passenger. Enjoy holiday music while having hot chocolate and cookies. The train board in Huntington and travels to Barboursville and back. Family Friendly Feast and Paint Party

Sunday Night Paint Party Image- Capon Fish Pond with Gazebo 7:15-9:15pm $20 to overnight guests, $49 for dinner & paint party only We will paint a Follow-Along painting that anyone can do. No experience required! Monday, May 21- Intro to Acrylic Painting: subject of your choice! *9:30 am – Noon This is for the absolute beginner or intermediate painters. (Advanced painters in other mediums are welcome to come and work on in their medium of choice. The instructor will offer advice if you want it.) The morning sessions will start with a demonstration by the Artist in Residence and then we will help you work on a painting of your choice. Everyone will choose their own subject matter. 2-6 pm Open Studio – Students are welcome to work on their paintings independently or take a break and enjoy the Resort activities. 6-8 pm Featured event: Chicken BBQ cookout on the golf course Tuesday May 22 – Intro to Paper Painting *9:30 am – Noon This is making art using only torn or cut pieces of paper. Beginners or Advanced students will enjoy this. The morning sessions will start with a demonstration by the Artist in Residence and then we will help you work on a painting of your choice. Everyone will choose a subject from a variety offered. 2-6 pm Open Studio – Students are welcome to work on their paintings independently or take a break and enjoy the Resort activities. 8-9 pm Featured event: Live Music: Wildflower Wednesday, May 23 – Choice of Acrylic or Paper Painting *9:30 am – Noon Beginners or Advanced students are welcome. We will do a quick demonstration of the painting styles and then help students work on the subjects of their choice. 2-6 pm Open Studio – Students are welcome to work on their paintings independently or take a break and enjoy the Resort activities. Featured event: 8-9:00pm Bingo: win fabulous prizes! Thursday – May 24 – Choice of Acrylic or Paper Painting *9:30 am – Noon Beginners or Advanced students are welcome. Try-A-Tri

The 2nd annual event includes a run, bike ride and kayaking for students in grades 3-7 at Cedar Lakes Conference Center, near Ripley. Kids receive a participation medal and lunch will be provided. The entire event should be over by noon so you will have the rest of the day for other events! But don’t miss this opportunity for elementary and middle schoolers to experience a mini-Triathlon. Bring your helmets and tennis shoes are required. Kayaks will be provided but child may use their own. Participants must have their own bikes. First 50 kids to register receives a free Tee! 4th Annual Princess Tea

Come join your favorite princesses for a day of fun, games, refreshments, and cookies!! Party or Sunday dress attire is encouraged for everyone, you can even arrive dressed as your favorite princess! This year your little princess will visit with each of our princesses, visit the "Sparkle Station", and enjoy a special surprise guest! Please bring your own camera to capture each greeting and smile from your little one. Play games with the princesses, and watch as your child parades down our indoor "Main Street" with all the princesses! Refreshments and snacks will be available! Admission: $20.00/Child Ages 12 and under; $5.00 for Each Accompanying Adult *This event is being held at the Training Center located through the North Wagon Gate entrance on 8th Street. *There will be no tickets sold at the door, so be sure to reserve your tickets NOW! *Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
