David Allen Pretzel Memorial Rodeo

General Concessions, Food Vendors & Tack Vendor available on site. Camping on site and stall rentals available for a fee, first come first serve. Friday the gates open for trailers & campers at 3pm–Fun show begins at 6pm and a bon fire, DJ & hot dogs at 8:30pm. Saturday is the cattle penning jackpot starting at 10am–One on one penning jackpot at 12pm—Mutton bustin 1st round at 1pm (limit 1 ride per child)–Country roads barrels & poles at 3pm–Live music by Steve Smith Band after Barrels. On Sunday is Cowboy church at 9am; two (2) man sorting jackpot at 11am and Country roads barrels & poles at 2pm. For additional information and to register, call Joni at 304-288-1992.

The Bluefield Shrine Horse Show

More than 200 riders will compete in multiple competitions during the three-day event at the Bluefield City Park. The show is sponsored and managed by the “Bluefield Shrine Club” in cooperation with local stables, interested parties and the City of Bluefield WV Parks and Recreation Department. American saddlebreds, five-gaited, three-gaited, fine harness horses, pleasure horses, equestrian competitions, and ponies are usually among the scheduled events.
