A Handmade Christmas in Shepherdstown
You're invited to a free 100% handmade arts and crafts show in historic Shepherdstown, WV inside Town Run Tap House, featuring 17 local vendors. Shop for handmade gifts from soaps, lotion, jewelry, paintings, purses, knit items, and much more. The Tap House will have food, drink, and even a children's play area to entertain the kids while parents browse work from local artists. Door prizes! The Christmas Marketplace at Charles Town
We are so excited to announce The Christmas Marketplace in Charles Town. Similar to the pop-up arts & crafts boutique that was held in December 2015. This year The City of Charles Town has granted permission to hold the event in the beautifully renovated Charles Washington Hall and will feature the work of local & regional artists, artisans, crafters and designers. You'll find a variety of outstanding handmade goods and bespoke gifts that are truly special and made with love! Two days only!! The Handmade Market will be open Saturday, November 26th (10 a.m. - 4 p.m.) and December 3rd (10 a.m. -4 p.m.). Admission to the public is free!
Beginner’s Soap Making Class
Beginner's Soap Making Class. In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of Cold Process Soap Making. We will make a batch of soap using olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, cocoa butter, and lye. We’ll add Essential Oils and herbs to make a beautiful natural soap. Each student will take home 6 bars of handmade soap. Students will receive safety tips, recipes, and resources to help the beginning soap-maker. Cost: $90 (approximately 2 hours in length) Location: Shepherdstown, WV (Bring a friend and save $15 each off registration) Bring a friend for soap making, and save $15 off registration fee per person!
