Christmas in Shepherdstown
The historic town of Shepherdstown WV will kick off its annual "Christmas in Shepherdstown" celebration on Friday, November 24, the day after Thanksgiving. The November 24 schedule will include a series of evening events that are traditional for the town: a bonfire, the lighting of the town tree, the arrival of Santa, and children's visits with Santa. Other highlights of that weekend will be live Nativity performances, a "Children's Extravaganza" at the Community Club, and a Christmas concert at O'Hurley's store. After that, there will be many different events every weekend and some weekdays until Christmas. Most events will be free. Every weekend will include children's activities; holiday marketplaces selling handmade crafts, baked goods, and greens; carriage rides; and special musical performances. Many shops will be open late on Fridays and Saturdays. The town will hold its annual Christmas parade at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 2. That evening, Shepherd University's Masterworks Chorale will present a concert featuring the Fauré Requiem. Also that weekend, the George Tyler Moore Center for the Study of the Civil War and the Shepherd University History Department will present a "Civil War Christmas in Shepherdstown," which will include many activities such as lectures and panel discussions, military re-enactments, children's activities, period music and street entertainment. Highlights of the remaining weekends before Christmas will include Shepherd University's annual Holiday Gala concert December 9 and 10, performances of " "The Nutcracker" at the Frank Center December 16 and 17, and a TUBACHRISTMAS concert December 16. There will be free parking in all the town's metered spaces on Friday, November 24 and every weekday from the 18th of December through January 6. There is always free parking at Shepherdstown's metered spaces on weekends. Free weekend parking is also available in the Shepherd University parking lot at High and Princess streets, one block from downtown. Events and activities will continue to be added. Fall Festival on the Avenue
Uptown Moundsville; Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. UMAC’s 7th Annual “Fall Festival on the Avenue” will be held on historic Jefferson Ave. between 2nd and 5th Streets in Moundsville, WV from 10am – 5pm on Saturday, September 16th. The day will be filled with fun for all ages including: live entertainment, great food, handmade crafts, face painting, children’s pony rides, horse pulled wagon rides and much more. We are expecting 60+ crafters and many shops along the Avenue will extend their hours for this special event to accommodate shoppers. The event will be held rain or shine. Camp Virgil Tate’s 4th Annual Breakfast With Santa 2016
You’re invited! Camp Virgil Tate invites you camp this December 10th from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. You will have a chance to take pictures with Santa, shop for handcrafted gifts, enjoy a delicious pancake and sausage breakfast, ride a pony, or in the buggy of the Christmas mule and more! For $5 each: leave with a professional printed photo taken with Santa, enjoy a pancake and sausage breakfast, and go on a pony ride. Also, we should mention, Santa loves animals and is taking pet pictures too!
The Christmas Marketplace at Charles Town
We are so excited to announce The Christmas Marketplace in Charles Town. Similar to the pop-up arts & crafts boutique that was held in December 2015. This year The City of Charles Town has granted permission to hold the event in the beautifully renovated Charles Washington Hall and will feature the work of local & regional artists, artisans, crafters and designers. You'll find a variety of outstanding handmade goods and bespoke gifts that are truly special and made with love! Two days only!! The Handmade Market will be open Saturday, November 26th (10 a.m. - 4 p.m.) and December 3rd (10 a.m. -4 p.m.). Admission to the public is free!

North Mountain Arts Festival
This is the 12th year of North Mountain Art Festival. Previously in Hedgesville, WV Now in our 4th year at Orrs Farm Market. This is a juried fine Arts & Artisans show with Live Music, Fine Art, Handmade Crafts, Food and everything that Orr’s Farm Market has to offer. Festival hours are Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm. come out and experience fun for the entire family.
